Tao Boxer Posted May 13, 2008 Hi, I also have this book. It seemed to get good reviews at Amazon. Problem is that it's all over the place ! Zen , Pureland and other Buddhist scriptures,as well as Taoism & Confusionism.(sp.) Mixing all different paths , too much confusion .
voidisyinyang Posted May 13, 2008 Mal -- talk about "commodity fetish"! haha. "I don't like" -- who cares! haha. I had to couple "working towards enlightenment" with REALIZING ENLIGHTENMENT -- part two of the same lecture series. Plus I had to read each book THREE TIMES before I understood the basic concepts. You're not SUPPOSED to understand it at first -- that's why it's called LEARNING. You're not in a Mall dude. haha. This is your brain on enlightenment. joeblast Posted May 14, 2008 yup, its definitely a read, re-read book. the insights are invaluable though a lot of it I have had to read, re-read, ponder, read again...
