I knew about the energetic blockage on my left side, concentrated in the left groin and testicle, since last summer.
The energetic condition always precedes the materialization.

As far as what you can do - listening closely to your body, identifying and resolving the underlying issue and letting it go is what I would do. Your own mind is what creates all these blocks - and so can also release them within just a few minutes! That is the double-edged power of FREE WILL! Your own mind can CURSE you just as easy as it can BLESS you!

For outside help, I'm sure there are plenty of great modalities out there. Probably wouldn't hurt to try a combo of them. Although I've noticed that most seem to revolve around a common theme of channelling the highest Divinity and helping the patient to receive it. In its simplest form, this would be prayer. I believe that the "problem" with prayer though is that it's often only 1-way and the patient may not be openly receptive. So, more "sophisticated" healing modalities use a more hands-on approach to help better facilitate receptivity in the patient.

Personally, I really like ThetaHealing, since I took a workshop in it. Which can be done over the phone too, btw...so you don't always have to go local. Remember, in the mindrealm, there is no "distance" or "local," per se. B)

Christopher,

You have a wonderful capacity for insight into the deeper soul/spiritual meaning of the illness, which will be a great asset to you on this journey! The task of getting well is to consciously appropriate what the illness is trying to accomplish. You'd wonder why we don't just decide to do that, but there can be deep subconscious programs working in another direction - sometimes incredibly deeply layered.

I would offer you this suggestion - that it may be possible to avoid invasive treatment that would hinder healing and introduce new trauma. It's always your choice, but often people aren't aware that there are other options that put the choices in a whole new light.

And also, it's very possible to actually remove the disturbances at the causative level, with energetic medicines given according to a system of medicine that can work deeply enough to reach the soul/spiritual obstacles.

That system is called Heilkunst, Dr. Hahnemann's complete system of medicine which includes homeopathy as a part. It has a high success rate with all kinds of complex, chronic illnesses including cancer.

This is a very systematic approach that saves time because you're not diong the hit-or-miss approach, nor the "throw everything against the wall and see if something sticks" approach. When you have a clear itinerary of the journey, you don't have to waste time trying all sorts of excursions that might lead to dead ends.

There is much healing that needs to be done, but there is also curative action that is qualitatively different and which needs to accompany the healing, as curing and healing form a functional polarity like yin and yang.

The curing is what takes command of the disturbances and destroys them through resonance.

The healing is what restores and balances during and after that.

I would refer you to a few specific articles on my website that would introduce you to these principles. Look for them in the Articles section.

1. Treating Cancer

2. Healing vs Curing

3. What is Heilkunst?

4. Series: The German New Medicine of Dr Hamer

I included the articles I wrote about Dr. Hamer's work, because his work is very helpful for understanding the physiology of how emotional trauma can trigger cancerous growth. Dr. Hamer himself developed testicular cancer after the death of his son, which he overcame by working to resolve the emotional trauma.

Dr. Hamer's insight into the link to emotional trauma is a great contribution to research, although he doesn't have a highly developed system of diagnosis and treatment, which is where the Heilkunst system comes in.

The main website for Heilkunst treatment is www.homeopathy.com/clinic. There's a lot of info there as well. Consults can be done by phone, so location is not an issue!

If you find this resonates with you, I'd be glad to talk with you more about it.

Wishing you the best,

Karen

I quite agree. Dis-ease is a lot for anyone to handle. But Christopher, your courage, willingness to grow, and mindfulness are obvious. And insiring. May your healing journey honor and grow those qualities, whichever healing modalities you pursue. I hope that sharing your music with the world is one of those modalities!

Your story resonates with me because, like you, I also realized recently a deep truth about myself. In my case, I realized that I don't know, and have never loved myself, sexually. My great grandfather, my father, my uncle, and an older cousin have all had bladder or prostate cancer, and I've realized that it's part of my work in this life to address the energetic issues surrounding that, to heal them for myself and for my ancestors. I'm turning 44 next month and have felt all my life that I was incomplete. I feel blessed to know why--finally--and to have begun to heal and grow into a self I've never known. I don't know where my journey will lead me, but that's okay. Mostly I'm just glad to know and feel what my journey is.

How fortunate you are, Christopher, to have begun your work so young! Thanks for sharing your story with us. I hope you'll check in from time to time and let folks know how you're doing.

May your healing be blessed.

Christopher,

Heiner Fruehauf, the dean of the Classical Chinese Medicine at NCNM (National College of Natural Medicine) down in Portland, Oregon was cured from severe testicular cancer without resorting to surgery. In fact, this experience is what made him become a Chinese Medicine doctor. His treatment involved herbs, acupuncture, and qigong. I studied with him and he is a top quality guy.

You can contact him through NCNM or his Classical Chinese Medicine website.

Good luck man,

Interesting.. Add some apricot seeds/B-17 to your diet, or apple, grape, orange, grapfuit seeds. Any bitter seeds will have it. Have to chew them well, though.

What kind of mushrooms you're taking? Has to be a hot water extract if you want to get something from it. Read more here. I would recommend any products from http://www.mushroomscience.com but Immune Builder is my favorite. Amazon.com has the best prices from my research.

I grind flax seeds in a coffee grinder as I need them and sprinkle o salad or fruit.

Takes only seconds to do.

This way it doesn't oxidize.

The oil is too concentrated and can go rancid.

I rather die than let the motherfucking doctors cut my ball off. But what do I know, I have ovaries LOL.

Dude just don't let em cut the other one or you'll go to the lower realms for being a fool.

Damn life, that whore of an illusion. Many a men chose death by chasing her.

And, cut that crap about yin and yang misconceptions.

Greenchild,

Sounds like some good options in front of you. On the issue of doing the aggressive surgery or not, the feeling that arose in me while reading your post is to jump on it. Western medicine is like using a chainsaw to take care of subtle problems, but we are a crazy tribe so it fits nicely. If you do go that route, don't get caught up in their death avoidance trip. You'd have to do some death contemplation drills or on the opposite side of the spectrum read all those party on near death experiences books, etc.

I think there are a number of great suggestions in this thread, but we are just the peanut gallery compared to what your heart tells you. Just go with that and it always works out beautifully.

Your pal,

Kyle

Dude...

If I believed in making things mandatory, I would make this post mandatory reading for all young seekers. Really I'm moved. People pursue things for all reasons and even the 'wrong' reasons seem en route to the 'right' ones.

Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.

And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.

And how else can it be?

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.

Happy homecoming. Nothing more beautiful than a reunion.

(...now what's this "was" thinking of going to NCNM about? Someone of your rare and profound insight would be treasured there. And it's an incredible community, like a cross between Hogwarts, Wudang, and Woodstock in the best possible ways. I love that place, and though adventure has called me away for who knows how long, I dream of returning, either to teach or study. A new world is being born there...)

I would suggest a high-fat, low-carb traditional-style diet, like what's suggested at the weston price foundation or over at this site or this site. Raw is best, in general. You might want to try some of the ormus products like the M-3 from Joe Lello's Atlantis Alchemy. Also, the sea crop folks have an excellent product that is said to have cured many cases of cancer. I make my own version of it at home.

You might want to back off the veganism, and most definitely back off the carbs. Traditional tribes generally ate diets very high in fat, including animal fat, and had no cancer until they switched to canned foods, white flour, white sugar, and vegetable oils.

Coconut oil can be helpful.

BTW, my friend, don't take that "was" of mine as excluding of the future! NCNM sounds amazing and will certainly be on the agenda once I get my prerequisites. Were you a student? I remembering the combined naturopathy/CCM program sounding really cool.

I was a student. I actually started in Naturopathy and planned to dual degree. When I was there dual degree students first completed two years in the ND program then studied CCM and ND concurrently. All this in 5 or 6 years. The CCM program there stresses personal cultivation (taijiquan, qigong, deep study of the classics). Personal cultivation requires hours a day. If you dual degree you don't have those hours, you're damn busy! In other words no time for personal practice.

Now the whole reason I wound up there in the first place was because I too needed to navigate some pretty dark waters. I had never been a happy person, and in fact believed happiness was antithetical to progress. I studied western medicine and was particularly familiar with one study that concluded, in simple terms, that some people were just naturally happy or sad based on their natural serotonin levels. Unhappy people were the achievers, they needed to accomplish something to get their fix. Whereas happy people were just, generally happy. Those simpletons! I began to identify with my 'natural' unhappiness and cynicism so deeply that I wound up with full blown depression and a variety of fatigue and autoimmune problems. I had all but snuffed out my own hopeful spirit, convinced small achievements no longer mattered because pollution, war, greed, global warming, would erase everything in the end. So what even mattered? I'm not sure many people follow their existential crisis as far as I did. It sounds silly to me now, reflecting back, because the emotions have all flowed out of it, but for a time I couldn't even talk about about that period in my life without crying.

What changed? I moved in with a guy (now one of my closest friends) who knew qigong. My energetic system was such a wreck, that by the time he agreed to teach me a bit, the first trickles of qi felt like a waterfall. And I blasted off from there, spent the summer qi-stretching everyday and sure enough, though I didn't expect it then, my emotional life changed dramatically. I wrote you about homecoming and reunion because that was my epiphany. That my mind had gone off on some terrible power trip, routinely ignoring, insulting and abusing my body for over a decade. And when I finally stopped to listen, the body consciousness was there, waiting, loving, and forgiving. That dear old friend I abused and misused took me back without a second thought. Wow the torrent of emotions. Gratefulness, gratitude, guilt, relief. My health improved radically. Aches, allergies, chronic infections, and fatigue all gone. I started putting on mass. And you know what, I became one of those naturally happy simpletons! The odd thing is, my logic never changed, I still see all the problems of the world, I still don't know how it will all turn out, but despite it all my hope burns like a bonfire.

By the end of the summer, Western medicine didn't fit anymore. I transfered to NCNM, started as an ND, then transfered to the CCM program because of my interest in personal cultivation. In the 6 month gap time I came to China, met my teacher and the rest is history in the writing.

You know what the real tipping point may have been? It sounds silly but in the final failing month with my then live-in girlfriend, at the height of my depression, we went out for Chinese. And what did my fortune cookie portent?

Thanks! I will check out those links. I am eating 50-100% raw, depending on the day. Lots of plant food. No bread, no refined sugar, only flax and olive oil. What do you guys think about other sweeteners like agave syrup? I love coconut oil, just haven't picked up any yet. Don't know about the meat thing though... :)

For the food thing. I recently read (no affiliation - I think I have to keep saying that ;-)).

A book called 'In defense of food' - or a text in which the author argues that we tend 1. Not to eat food (or rather the stuff we put on our plates today is mostly not in fact 'food'- or if it is food then it is much diminished food) and that this is not entirely our (personal) fault but something that happened along the way in the search to feed people.

2. That we ought not to eat too much of it - food or not (depends on what you think food is) and

3. We ought to be eating mostly plants. I'm not sure what this one is exactly, nor why, but I kind of agree in practical terms. Steak makes me ill and I get nightmares with deer in them if I eat them. Which is not fun because deer taste great! For some other why - no problem with sushi??

Another very interesting person I met (also similar mentioned in the book)- a specialist in ethnonutrition - in other words who said, some of our bodies are not made to deal with refined stuff -think lack of enzymes to break down certain products - thus, for example, obesity in some people who suddenly adopt a typical western diet.

Not sure this helps though!

If you have the chance living in a non-urban environment away from mental pollution and positive ions, please do so.

Btw, keep mushrooms off your diet as they ferment in your stomach and produce toxins.

Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables during the Yang months of the year and steamed or lightly fried foods during the Yin months.

To clean your karmic negative influence practice daily meditation and Qigong and follow the Noble Eightfold Path:

http://www.thebigview.com/buddhism/eightfoldpath.html

A good meditation system (amongst many others) is the Golden Light, which is described here:

http://www.wuwei.org/Taoism/goldenlight.html

There are mudras associated with it but don't worry, as relaxation and visualisation are the most important components.

However to achieve good results with this method you should already have a good foundation in Yoga. You can learn how to meditate in here:

http://www.buddhanet.net/ebooks_m.htm

Read the following two:

1. Practical Vipassana exercises

And also after meditation, try to put into practice mindfulness as a way of life:

2. Living Meditation, Living Insight

All the best.

Your story touched me a lot. Everyday I feel more connected to what people are going through, and what is really happening behind the surface ego. From vocal quality, to the eyes, to the movement and posture, the information is becoming more and more strong. It is amazing that we have the capacity to understand directly through our hearts. I am grateful for your sharing how it is guiding you as well, to self-knowledge and healing. If only our culture nourished such intelligence in everyone.

You're very welcome. I felt moved to share my story because, reading yours, I felt strengthened and validated. It's apparent that lots and lots of people are doing (or at least have the opportunity to do) huge work on their emotional and sexual selves these days. I find that studying astrology is helping me to put my own situation into a universal context, that learning more about how the universe expresses its intelligence through the movements and energies of astral bodies helps me see myself as part of their expression. Here's an astrology blog that's blowing my mind: http://planetwaves.net/pagetwo/.

The synchronicities continue for me. My parents gave me the itemized receipt sent to them after my birth by the hospital in which I was born. I learned that my circumcision--a procedure I have no memory of but realized several years ago that I grieve--cost $3. Later in the week, I began reading and practicing exercises from Mantak Chia's book The Multi-Orgasmic Man. And the other night I dreamed that a red hooded sweatshirt I have had for 20 years was swept out to sea during a hurricane. I almost dove in after it before I realized it was time to let it go, so I let it drift away. After I woke up, I put that sweatshirt in the wash and will be giving it away.

Be well, Christopher.

If it were me, I would find the best qi gong master there is and go for treatment. I have heard wonderful things about Baolin Wu in California.

Also, do a google search for 'IP-6 and cancer'.

May God Bless You and Keep You,

I must say I find all these answers to be very irresponsible.

Chris, go to a doctor. Get chemo or whatever they suggest. I had lymphatic cancer 20 years ago and am cured because of chemotherapy. My best friend had testicular cancer and had radiation and was cured will very little side effect.

If you have not survived cancer by the methods you've all suggested, please don't prescribe for someone else. Literally their life depends on it.

Traditional tribes don't get cancer on their native diets. I never said not to get chemo, but does it really make sense to only do that alone?

Hi Buddy,

I don't see anyone prescribing here, and I don't think we have the power to take away personal responsibility :). The choice of medical treatment is something that each person makes individually.

Many people want to rely on conventional medical doctors' advice, and that's a choice, just like the choice to go to different kinds of doctors and get different views. I would say there's no absolute right way to do this, but that to make an informed decision based on gathering information, and soul searching to find the direction that resonates, is a healthy approach to anything.

And yes, my life depended on treatment, which I chose to receive far outside of the medical establishment. But that's not really the point here - you'll see people getting the results they want by a variety of different methods. To me, it's not a matter of which method is best, because that's like asking which tool is best - depends on the situation.

But it's a matter of which system offers a paradigm that the person trusts. For many, that's the conventional system; for many others, it's something different or a combination. I'm glad you received the kind of treatment you wanted.

What I advise people doesn't come from empirical experience, otherwise I'd never know whether it might apply in someone else's case. I only advise people, and only if they're interested, that they can check out methods that are grounded in principles of nature. And that the medical establishment doesn't have a monopoly on medical science. And to listen to their inner wisdom that draws them to the kind of guidance they need.

Agharta - Native diets worked consistently for people whose constitutions were very different from ours today. Diet is an important foundation, but today that's not always enough to tackle the kinds of challenges we face with complex, chronic conditions.

-Karen
