Illuminous Posted October 12, 2022 Hi all I used to roam these streets many years ago in a previous iteration of Toabums. Great to see it is still kicking along and there are some advanced practitioners here. I started practicing daily meditation at 14 and am 44 now. Explored many of the worlds traditions and practices and have ended up in gently following the breath and organically collecting awareness and resting in the lower dan tien. From there, energy, warmth, bliss and a sense of the Tao. Had many experinces over the years. I probably identify as Buddhist; however, I would be a perenialist - all authentic traditions touching something of the universal. In any case, my question relates to any advice on texts / authors who's meditation practice / descriptitons seem similar to how I described mine? I would be interested in delving deeper into the Taoist traditations that seem to resonate with my own personal experience. All the best Adam.

Illuminous Posted October 13, 2022 Hi ilumairen and Cobie. Thanks for the warm welcome!! :-) I look forward to reading through the threads and seeing what people are talking about. There used to be many controversies here back in the day around teachers and traditions; and many insightful converesations. In kind regard Adam.
