Trunk Posted January 11, 2023 … just my personal journey … When i was first introduced to meditation, the primary orientation was toward stillness, emptiness, sky of mind, letting all images and thoughts become irrelevant in favor of … nothing, lol. So, that was the basis and I still appreciate that as basis in meditation. Visualization seemed contradictory to the above and I was wary about visualization on that basis. I’ve found that skillful visualization of the pearl to be helpful, and integral with, fosters the basis of emptiness. reference: the enso essay at johndaoproductions.wordpress.com https://johndaoproductions.wordpress.com/2020/04/20/enso-emptiness-and-the-deep-centers/
awaken Posted January 11, 2023 True Taoist practitioners do not practice visualization Because visualization will lead to soil pollution Polluted soil cannot produce pure wood and gold, and of course it cannot produce golden elixir 真正的道家修煉者不會練觀想 因為觀想會導致土的污染 污染的土則無法生出清淨的木和金,當然也無法產生金丹
