Munfred Posted February 23, 2023 Hi all, just 3 years ago, I learned that solar eclipse is considered a bad omen generally speaking. Through a Chinese metaphysics class (feng shui) we are told to avoid seeing it to avoid the overwhelming yin energy. And so I did. However, here comes the real problem, I began to develop intrusive thought patterns that keep an image of the eclipse flashback in my mind. Part of the reason, this keeps happening is because of my belief in the law of attraction. My reality starts to shift ever since that day. I kept experiencing emotional roller coaster and my behaviour start to become more introverted to the point that I start to question my identity. The fear associated has been so real. It has been 3 years now, I practice meditation to disassociate myself from the mind, however, there are days that are still hard and the fear starts to creep in. Does anyone have any sort of meditation exercise or advice that could help with this?
ilumairen Posted February 23, 2023 Welcome @Munfred  While I may be misunderstanding how you intend to use the word "disassociate," this isn't something I would generally recommend.
Cobie Posted February 23, 2023 Hi Munfred. Maybe 'grounding' exercises (e.g. long walks) would help? Welcome to the forum. Â
wandelaar Posted February 23, 2023 Meditation can have adverse effects for some people. If I remember well there has already been a topic about that. Anyhow some other Bums might be more qualified than me to advise you on what to do or not to do next.
