aivari Posted August 24, 2023 Hello all! Nice to part of the dao bums! And sorry, English is not my first language. I am looking for a good reliable online course / online study opportunities in qigong / neigong. For some reason I am drawn towards qigong after the years of studying yoga. I do not know why. I have practiced kriya yoga and hatha yoga for 12 years and done meditation as part of yoga. I have done some powerful breathing practices a lot in yoga, so I assume I would like to progress a bit faster. I have been reading and reading about different qigong lineages / traditions so that I could decide which one to choose to stydy. Now I would like to find a proper qigong or neigong lineage that I could study for a longer period of time. The more I read here, the more I get lost. I see that quite many are happy with Flying Phoenix (powerful and beneficial experiences?), some prefer Spring Forest Qigong, Damo Mitchell, Lee Holden, Taichi18 etc. I am confused. I would like to choose one to study and not to try all of them. When I have studied yoga, I chose the most authentic schools that I was able to find. I went to India to learn. Now I am part or the rat race and family man so not able to go to China to look for a proper school. I do not have qigong teachers or schools close to me so I am looking for an online course and material for now. I am also a little bit of allergic to the schools that are overly materialistic (lots of talk and promises and big price tag but hoax inside). So I am looking for a real deal that can take me to the deeper studies as well. I am 42 years old and moderately healthy - meaning that I am a bit stressed and have a bit high blood pressure but other than that, I am fine. I am not religious, but I could say that I am spiritual. I would like to work for better health in general but also looking for some experiences with energies and spiritual pracitices. I am willing to pay for the online courses and material as well but not really into some online subscription that is ridiculously expensive. Quite many here seem to vow for Flying Phoenex that has apparently powerful practices but they do not have any online courses. Shame. Sorry for long story but I would be very grateful if someone could give some directions or recommendations or share their own experiences with different schools / lineages. Thanks! Hi Anssi, For Flying Phoenix you can learn directly from Sifu Terry via zoom if you like, just send him an email to arrange it. Or if you want a cheaper option you can join the group zoom classes or get the DVDs and learn from them. Let me know if you have any more questions about Flying Phoenix. Rudi’s Authentic Neigong classes are also good if you are interested in Neigong. It’s more focused on working with the lower dantien directly to get it activated to store qi. Check out the details here or search the forum: https://authenticneigong.com/ 1
