@Cobie, I'm curious if the content of this thread would be better suited for a PPD?

No need to delete.  You could hide the posts you choose to retract.  Hide the trolls when they're trolling, etc.

I agree. A request to the admods, @dwai , would it be possible to move this thread to my PPD please?

That’s not possible in my PPD, I can only hide the entire thread or nothing.

Like this one  ^   ?

It appears you didnt read the first post in this thread ... and Cobie forgot what she said  / invited us to do .

How could one 'troll' a thread where you are invited to write what you want and then delete it ?

And then take advice of daniel  that it might be being trolled  ... and then consider moving it to a PP where  empty deleted  posts can be hidden as they are an annoyance

:D

Youse guys are classic !    :D     :D    :D

But that would be perfect for you  would it not ?

Why waste time writing a post ... and then deleting it  , why not  write an entire thread ... and then delete it .... I mean , if 'delete'  / deleting is your 'thing' ....  think of the time you would 'save ' .

There was an paper  published some decades ago about the people that preserved their culture the longest against colonial invasions ... it was called  'Kill them and eat them ! '

- its the only way to deal with some 'types'.   ;)

@ChiDragon re. 超越的超越 , I think it’s like your DDJ Ch 1 - 3. 無,名天地之始 ,  the invisible Tao.

I think Chapter 14 talks about the ‘invisible Tao’, would you agree?

And did you translate Ch 14? If so I’d like to read it f I may.

Exactly, and imo Laozi thought it important enough to put in the very first chapter of the DDJ:

9.   Charlatans normally don’t wish

11. Charlatans normally do wish

12. to exhibit their own loud shouting.

‘mu’ derived from the Chinese 無 .

無 wu2 - (negates) no, not; without; nothing.

Imo:

“A monk asked Jôshû, ‘Does a dog have Buddha nature or not?’ Jôshû said, ‘No’.”

Quite the opposite actually. When combined with dependent origination, it's quite liberating. Having a concrete idea of a "self", "soul", etc. is exhausting and the root of suffering in the world.

But, we do all have to find our own way. :)
