Cobie Posted September 17, 2023 (edited) 達摩 da2 mo2 and 菩提达摩 both mean Bodhidharma. 達 traditional characters = 达 simplified characters 菩提 pu2 ti2 is the ‘Bodhi’ bit. 達摩 is enough to be understood to be Bodhidharma. Damo is a person who brought Buddhism into China. In the TTC, there are only four entities are found. They are human, earth, sky and Tao.

I asked "entity?" Quote I’ll go for this for answer: re 自然 please see https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/54593-zi4-ran2-自然/?do=findComment&comment=1003399 Ok. Interesting read. Yes. Agreed super important concept. 2 hours ago, Cobie said: (I’d still like you to look at it) Apologies, I missed your previous post. Ok. I read the thread, but I didn't follow the links posted. Would you like me to do that? Are you asking for my input, or just maybe letting me know about the different interesting details you're finding? Did this indicate it is an entity? My gut response is, I do not understand it as "nature" but how nature behaves. Edited September 17, 2023 by Daniel
