I think this thread will be fun :)

Which user(s) of ‘The Dao Bums’ Forum is/are/was/were the most sensible, reasonable, clear-sighted and wise, in your opinion?

I’ve been around for one month as an user — and before creating an account I had been reading content from the forum for another one month. During these two months I’ve read quite a lot of new and old threads…

Personally, the users who made me the most  impressed and thrilled by their inspiration with words and wisdom are @Small Fur and @manitou

The forum is like a spicy Thai curry with lots of balanced flavors.  Some bums are a little sweet, some bursting with savory umami goodness, and yes, a few are a tad bitter.  But it's the combination -- how we all come together -- that really make the dish.  Most of us aren't the smartest or the funniest or the most spiritually advanced, but chances are we've got a little somethin' somethin' to contribute -- and that's enough.

:D:D good one!

Don’t worry, I have faith in people! :D

I’ve never participated in any forum apart from this. And I decided to join because I was surprised about how people are thoughtful here. It really fascinates me.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,

Who is the wisest DaoBum of them all?

Apech, Apech you little shit,

Whoever it is, you're not it.

Mirror, mirror, in the trash,

With a brick I did thee smash,

What's the point of your reply,

You could've at least try to lie.

I know for a fact that in most I am quite stupid!

But I sure can cook a good homegrown snack.

Being humble is one of the signs off wisdom,

and where would we be without a good homegrown snack

Who cares  ..... it's wise .

You be just like a guy I knew that was a  health freak and had joined  the Hare Krishnas ; he got concerned about excessive dairy , lots of white bleached flower , HEAPS of sugar , food floating in oil , etc .  He shared his concerns with his local 'master'  - or whatever it is  with them -  in a private conversation . He was told  he would be fine as long as he offered it up to Krishna .  " But the contents are hot healthy and we eat SO much sugar and .... "

Becoming impatient with the student , the 'wise master'  grabbed a  ( white flour ) chapati , filled it with a handful of white sugar , rolled it up, gave it to student and ;  " Just eat it . "

One should not even question Wise  Master , just do what he says and copy what he does ... no questions .

-  That is, if you  are a traditional eastern student .

And there folks , lies 'your '  *  problem  .   ;)

So,   old3bob  .... Cheese waffie  ....

JUST EAT IT !

* if you are a 'why westerner'  ... wanting 'proof' and all that stuff.

.

but i still can't eat it because of its artificial color, besides I don't want to turn orange-ish and mistakenly look like a co-conspirator with the orange man...

hm, this reminds me of the time I lived in a city and regularly had junks at the door, asking for a tenner.

Never gave em money but handed out a sandwich and a drink, milk or tea, whatever they wanted.

Een broodje kaas is soms heel verleidelijk | Kijk, Zuid-Frankrijk!

It's been my observation that most people embody the idiom "penny wise and pound foolish."

Not so much in money matters as in general.

I believe what wisdom is is being able to tell pennies from pounds.  To know when to focus on details and when to notice and analyze the bigger picture.  When to watch cat videos and when to slay demons.
