When you have to make a decision based on blind faith and trusting people, it makes sense to rely on their reputation and status. Like in a case of going to a doctor (but even then you can get fooled by someone's reputation and end up with a horrible doctor)

However when it comes to seeking truth or figuring out what makes sense and what doesn't, then you must look beyond the status directly into what was said. And use your own brain. You have to validate everything for yourself regardless of what status someone may have. There's no room for taking things on faith anymore. All your status becomes meaningless.

Even if I told you I'm the galactic incarnation of hanuman, shiva, lao tzu, buddha and all the rest. What will you do with that information? It's useless. All of them could be full of shit for all you know :D

I cant believe you just wrote that !

The answer is , what you claimed for your own validity in the first place  - internal content . And sensible and knowledgeable  information will come about by developing sense reason and knowledge  (hopefully leading to understanding and wisdom )  and an intelligent person will be able to detect any internal validity with any information according to their own capacity in sense reason and knowledge and practice .

Sorry , this new age 'channeling' and 'because I say / think so/ , just aint  gonna cut it  ... ceptin in the world of social media and youtubes  ;) .

Something I've noticed, while looking around the average suburban roadway, either with my own eyeballs or searching on Google Maps, there's damn near the same number of churches as there are gas stations. Gas stations serve an obvious purpose, to help people get to where they need to go in their cars. But you know what else goes on in those places? Look inside and they are wall-to-wall  filled with addictive substances! Alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, sugar, salt, fat, even gambling. Way back in the day they had porn there, too, but that is mostly free now, so anyway. All of that is even besides the point. You know how many thousands of people die in car crashes every year? I am not even going to mention the environmental and political issues with fossil fuels etc.

Now, according to Google: "Around 233 million people held valid driving licenses in the United States in 2021."

Also: "As of 2021, estimates suggest that in the US, about 210 million people identify as Christian."

Hopefully you can see where I'm going with this, so I'll go ahead and shut up :D

This actually needs a little bit of correction to be true and it would look like this:

"person will be able to detect any validity with any information according to their own capacity in sense and reason."

Let me explain why.

Your capacity for sense and reason is the only thing that can measure the validity of what someone else is saying. Knowledge, practice, collection of books, fame, the size of someone's spiritual dick is not an indication of how much sense and reason that person is capable of.

You could be a pope who read and prayed his whole life and have zero ability to make sense and have a very flawed understanding about everything in life. And you could be unread, unlearned, unpracticed and be enlightened, reasonable and sensible af.

So what does that mean, it means that someone's status based on experience, fame, collection of books, the size of one's spiritual dick means nothing. Only the status of how much sense you make. And Only that. Means something.

It also means if you want to determine the status/validity of someone, you have to look directly at what they're saying, and how much sense they're making. Not how their crotch smells like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And another irony I see, trying to dismiss my words based on my background and status, while not knowing even 10% of my background or my expertise is lame in and of itself.

If you can, please make sure you understand the point I'm making before you reply. Because it's not the first time I'm saying all this and it seems to me it's all flying over the head. If you want a productive conversation, please start by putting effort in understanding the points that were made before you reply. Or we will run in circles forever.

Sincerely thank you for every effort put on mutual understanding 🙏

My apologies for the triggered energy in my previous replies aswell (I deleted the last few replies aswell) . I got thrown off by all the drama energy. Not just between you and me but all the triggered energy that happens behind the curtains aswell. Took me time to recover.

I also feel energeticly it's time to wrap this up. Whatever needed to take place, whatever needed to be sayed has happened. My work here is done so to speak :D (at least for now)

Love and peace (for as long as space endures)

Ciao 👋 ✌️

Elder brother Jesus never wanted to be put on a pedestal !  Alas, that happened anyway in so many ways that much of his teachings ended up on the back burners or were twisted about for this or that vested or special interest group... knowledge is a useful tool but I'd say "God" cares far more about  (x1000) by looking to see what is our hearts.

For however many millions of motorists are driving around, there's only a super tiny fraction of them that are homicidal alcoholics. Guess who are also the ones that show up on the nightly news. Similar thing with churchgoers, IMO. Most congregations are very genuinely focused simply on fellowship and uplifting each other in the Word. If there is racism, greed, and other nasty stuff present, it's systemic to the society, like how the marketing of addictive products has intertwined itself to the gas station. What's more if i see someone driving like a maniac, I blame the individual, not the vehicle. Being in the car does amplify their capacity to do damage, though. Likewise problematic persons, if they just so happen to be weaponizing religion, draws a certain kind of attention.

As for questioning the logic of creation and miracles. To me that's like using cleverness to try and stretch a gallon of gas by adding water to it. That's just not how the system is going to work. Doesn't cultivation eventually break through certain veils of illusory nature of all phenomena anyway? Many humans understandably will not have the opportunity to reach that far. Relying humbly and wholeheartedly on a Messiah seems valid enough for the time being.

@old3bob what was he like? Did he leave an impression on you?

It was a very long time ago so I don't remember a whole lot but I think he made an impression on everyone, being robed and kind of mystical like.  He talked generally about Egypt, his Coptic order and parts of his life.  He gave a pretty incredible demonstration of piercing his chest area with long ice pick like spikes without showing pain or bleeding.  He also walked among the audience with a kindly, greeting like way and gave many folks a light touch around their 3rd eye.

"Dick size" is an appropriate term for status imo. (the bigger the dick, the bigger the status.) And "crotch sniffing" is an appropriate term for gathering information about someone's else's status (that's what dogs do when they gather information about other dogs)

I agree that the imagery is gruesome. I had to apologize for my language a few times even. But it wasn't directed at anyone in particular. Those were general statements. So I fail to see how that is an insult to anyone. Using gruesome language is not the same thing as name calling and insulting someone personally imo.

Now was the gruesomeness necessary to make my point? No. Was it appropriate to use gruesome language in that context? Debatable, I honestly can't tell. That's just how my mind flowed at that moment. In case the gruesome language was inappropriate, I apologize.

You probably didn't have that in mind, but I would use that kind of language if I could not find any good arguments, but still had the need to feel superior to the other persons.

Words like that are a way to try to shift the power balance.

Hard to tell. There could be some truth that I was using that sort of language to add power to my arguments. But if I replaced the words. Dick with status. And crotch sniffing with gathering background information. My arguments would have been just as solid imo. Just less disturbing and provoking.

"Saying someone is acting like a dick versus calling someone a dick."

Saying someone is acting like a dick, if you're going to express why you feel like that and are willing to have a discussion around it. That's okay in my world if you're doing it for the purpose of calling out certain behavior for them to self-reflect.

Although arguablely you could replace the word dick with something more gentle, like" you're being inconsiderate" for example . But vulgar language doesn't bother me personally. Depends on the context probably.

Whereas simply calling someone a dick amounts to trash talk only. And that's the big difference. Vulgar language alone does not constitute an insult imo. It has to be directed at someone for the purpose of belittling them.

Context makes all the difference.

I don't know why but i just felt the urge to express this. Maybe someone needed to hear it idk.
