Thrice Daily Posted October 29 I might be off with this, but this is my understanding so far, hopefully I get corrected if I'm off base.. Improve Jing- If I spend my Jing, I have a day off intense practices and eat red meat. Improve Chi - Early Night sleep, eat food to bring balance, maybe fry, maybe boil, steam, it depends, also frequent naps I use Pomodoro technique so 25 minutes work, 5 minutes nap with eye patch, always improves Chi and restores defensive Chi even with little sleep. I find Chi always gets stronger day after I do heavy weight training too. Maybe do Yoga Nidra on youtube too... Improve Shen - Watch nice media, no violence, soft music not too hard, time in nature, grounding, practice gratitude for all things, say some prayers.
exorcist_1699 Posted November 8 (edited) Replenish jing and qi are easy, even for people who are over 70 as we already get a lot of jing and qi accumulated in our bodies , only that they are always stuck at some places (usually at those main acupuncture points where sore , sting pains are felt when being pressed ) , or in some unbalanced status that they cannot be used . By applying our mind or our fingers on them , we can release them and then they can act as some kind of replenishment ; this is why they are called the internal medical storage . Replenishing Shen likely is more difficult as doing some mental maths or learning some foreign languages does sharpen our mind or keep our memorial power , they are not anything an upgrade of Shen . Anyway, as "whenever Shen consolidates , jing and qi also gather " , using Shen in a mindless way can be viewed as some higher, spiritual exercises to reversely replenish jing and qi . This is why some followers of Zen who do theirs well , not to speak of Taoists' much easier jing-qi-shen way , can regenerate and enhance their jing : Regrowing fallen teeth , removing a hemorrhoid , regaining hard erection ..etc Edited November 14 by exorcist_1699
Lukks Posted November 10 On 29/10/2024 at 7:04 PM, Thrice Daily said: Maybe do Yoga Nidra You are the second penson I see talking about Yoga Nidra for improving Chi, I just don't get how it works, maybe it deserves a post about this, I'll use the search engine to see what I can find about yoga nidra, youtube lessons seems nice but idk I don't feel they are safe nor are they the real yoga nidra I have this bias that it's just another "westernalization" of the real practice, just like the "Yoga" people advertise on the west which truly isn't yoga but just aerobic movements LMAO now all the Yoga fans will hate me I'll just leave it here and run bye
Thrice Daily Posted November 10 Maybe, I think her heart is in the right place which I think is dead on important with guided meditations. Its basically just progressive relaxation though and it is really only covers the body, and a few wishes about being relaxed and waking up energised and refreshed it’s very much on message. The reason I give it respect is due to the concise use of language by Ally in particular. (She gives away all her recordings for free on YouTube and free to download on her website) it’s concise and the order of detail as to what to relax in sequence in each recording is (to me who has done progressive relaxation over the years) impressive. So it’s just about taking a mental carry through of the body really Lukks, the only side effect is deep relaxation and refreshment. There may be other more esoteric recordings she does but I only listen to sleep and relaxation . It’s very good and safe. have you done other meditations ? past life guided meditations? chakra cleansing? self hypnosis? there are loads of recordings out there , I’d say this Ally stuff is the safest I’ve ever listened to to be fair. Listen with confidence…
