Saint Rosalia

Today September 4th is the feast day of St. Rosalia of Palermo. Born of a royal bloodline in the high middle ages, she renounced all worldly affairs to live in a cave and serve God. Hundreds of years later she appeared to people suffering from the plague. She healed them and instructed them to get her bones down from the mountain to cleanse the whole city.
