Cooking Rice perfectly is very important no? For this to happen you need right amount of rice and right amount of water, also right intenity of fire and correct duration of cooking in the right pot, to make the rice just perfect. So there are these variables ;)

Correction: The Quote is from Thrice Daily
Yes, that sounds about right. I do cook rice almost everyday! You have said it all.

I am total happy that we are in agreement. Just don't leave home without it.

It is easy to forget, I know. It is easier for folks if they are a hermit for a while to learn this and try to follow breath all day. Then it’s easier to do with distractions and other people, college, uni, work etc

My other side of the story is that when I design to practiced Taiji. The purpose is to bring my health back to normal and beyond normalcy.

Have you had chronic illness or sickness as a child. I also had to overcome childhood injuries. I think it is a super power. We ‘have to’ train every day in some way no matter what. Discipline becomes next level and easy normal.

However, I practice for years and still  get a terrible cold on three winters in the roll during Thanksgiving. I had to stay home and missed my mother's Thanksgiving dinners. Then, I went online to find out why am I not getting the full effect from practicing Taijj. Fortunately, I had found the true definition of Qigong on a native site.

it was yoga that did it for me. Quite unintentionally I laid a good foundation in Hatha and then Ashtanga yoga for a couple of years before doing Qigong

Word of caution though. I was breathing too deeply at first. The qigong effects were really too powerful for what I needed and I did create some problems from breathing to maximum capacity in some qigong practices early on. Now I’m much more balanced in my approach to breathing and it changes in intensity and depth session to session.

I think everyone knows what I am going to say now. That is Qigong is about breathing. However, Taiji was considered as a form of Qigong.

Know what you mean though, it’s really the deep breathing that gives effects, keeps the defensive qi very strong and can activate heat even when should be cold. I agree and think you should keep telling people even though people complain. I think you should ignore them, as long as you also allow their ideas. I think you always adding breath respectfully in comments is very good for practitioners to read, even intermediate and advanced. I think everyone forgets sometimes, and breathing is the best beginner mind focus. I like reading it, foundation is always most important.

Since then, I had found another native article about Taiji says:
Practice Taiji should have the movements coordinate with breathing and the breathing coordinate with the movements.

had followed that advice and practiced for years, I have accomplished that my health went beyond normalcy. My internal energy(neigong) is incredibly strong. Sorry to say, my libido went up sky high. I have to take up weapon practice to release my energy. Anyway, this is only something passive!

Know what you mean, it’s good to keep the 3 dans connected.

For many years I would sleep with left hand on heart centre and right hand below the lower dan tien. It helps to balance energies. Very good practice for sleep IMHO
