It strikes me as strange when someone uses IMHO in posts, or anywhere for that matter!  If you've got to tell people you're humble, you're not.

Honestly, .... (scratch that)

With all due respect, ... (scratch that)

Not to step on any toes but, ... (scratch that)

Oops, striking out all over the place today.

Yeah.  "Honestly..."  (Why would anyone assume otherwise?, unless you know yourself to be a liar at times

"With all due respect"....(you're a moron, and I don't agree with a thing you said)

"Not to step on any toes..."  (but I'm about to shove my opinion in here and shut this thing down)

However, we must give credit to those who are really humble to be polite!

Well, IMHO, WTF, STFU, you don't say!  I took a class in telecommunications once, the three-letter acronyms were out of control...

Not sure I agree with you though--it's just a way of being polite, when it's used properly, IMO.

Wow, what a severe attitude towards someone you may  or may not know. It doesn't mean one is humble but rather that the opinion is humble. The opinion isn't one of a statement that is the be all and end all but humble as to suggest another opinion. IMHO.. LOL.

No really, it’s just like saying all ‘allegedly’ it’s just to cover yourself so it doesn’t look like it’s stating facts…

know what you mean about the H in it though. I never really thought about it, not really needed is it. I’m dropping mine to IMO, it’s better IMO :)

Thanks for posting that.  I agree. I had thought the opening post rather mean spirited.

It is difficult to hear the intonation of a statement communicated thru text or typing. So, can not tell if it was in humor or just rough times. I just wanted everyone to be kind. Oh, happy Halloween.

But, that did sound a bit harsh?? If it was meant to be in jest or humor then I got to say I missed it. Sorry.

That was jarring!

IMO, you should have closed, "it's better IMHO", showing your clear willingness to give deference to the opinions of others.  You're not forcing your opinion on anyone, just submitting it for consideration--that calls for "IMHO".
