Anyway, I for one like you to post in the Abrahamic forum from your Zen/Dzogchen point of view. Exchanging ideas and all that, interesting to read. NorthWide Posted December 10 (edited) 21 hours ago, stirling said: It isn't CHRISTIAN answer, that's true, but it isn't a Daoist answer either, is it? It is an entreaty to look at experience vs. belief. Fair enough. I'll stay out of the playground for now, unless I think of something Christian to say. _/\_ Playground is epic. In the years of The Dao Bums that is what it really is. No, we don't vote people off the playground. I think people often forget that it is a playground and its not really a place to grandstand. Things are pretty much take it or leave it. Some do try to be King of the hill but it never ends that way. Some fool gets lucky. So, you are just as welcome on the playground as anyone else. The playground tends to eventually be wormwood for bullies. So, don't get too upset when it doesn't work out the way they like. As coheir with Christ, it entities you to specific benefits. Like this paragraph for instance is a Stone, a cornerstone so to say. I've only chosen to use this gift on this very paragraph instead of inflicting my will, because I believe in free will. Nungali: something about holy roller. I don't ascribe to sectarianism, like whatever sect rolls on the floor, hence. Somebody: Neurons are not fat. doc benway Posted December 11 As to the OP, I do think it is interesting to consider our neurological system as an antenna of sorts, or perhaps a conduit, that allows us to connect to and express the creativity and potential of something far deeper and greater than what we generally consider ourselves to be. When I read 1 Kings:29 what I take away is the invitation and the opportunity for us to get in touch more fully with what is beyond our perceived boundaries and live from that place rather from the place of our self-imposed limitations.

Why cant you answer a simple question, without trying to divert with some made up sentiments you then try to project on to me ? Its a simple question . Why cant you answer from your OWN religious perspective , just as Cobie could . Note, I am not saying as Coby 'did' . I am saying Coby can DO it , but you , it seems , can not do it . Instead you make unrelated projections in a passive agressive attack on the questioner . Thats rather 'telling' .

liminal_luke Posted Thursday at 02:36 PM Christians are welcome to debate topics on the forum, of course they are, but I´ll admit that the question "is this Biblically sound?" turns me off. It´s an inquiry that comes, to my ear anyway, with a lot of embedded assumptions. Perhaps the biggest assumption is that the Bible is a book worthy of our consideration. Or, if it is, that we should use at as some sort of measure to judge our thoughts and actions by. I happen to think there´s a lot of wisdom in the Bible. That´s just my guess; I haven´t read most of it. Unfortunately, it´s hard to find mystical truth in a book whose main use through history has been as a blunt object with which to beat down nonconformers and innocent passersby.

Yes, visiting North Sentinal island is illegal , I think the Indian government patrols the waters around it ..... to protect them ! And if you disagree I shall attack you with vehemence, consider you a sinner and Jesus hater and assail you with illogical and crackpot responses until you fear for the future of a sane humanity !
