I saw a doco where some old guy had bought himself 3  'lifelike'  ( ie. expensive  ) sex dolls  and lived with all of them .... including his complacent   wife .    he went on and on about them , their likes and dislikes  (including in  clothes ) while his wife  sort of 'resigned herself' to it .   I got the impression she was grateful for not being turfed out on the street !
