Hold on a little, he made me a little uncomfortable after a while… this I’ll throw out tho, and we will see:

«The ring represents what he calls «ahamkara - illusion. But more than this. Illusion in practical application. In other words, what the ring truly represents, is the overwhelming and unreasonable desire for power and domination. In a way we can say that what the ring really represents to anyone who actually possessions the ring, is what anyone in their illusioned hearts they truly want. That’s why the ring has different relationship with different people. But the core essence is this: if you truly posses that ring, you got power. A power which at the beginning seems like something you can wield for your own purposes. Indeed, some people even have the idea that they will wield that ring, and the power there of, for good… to do something good. However, inevitably, the ring overwhelms. Even the strongest of people, even kings. And yet, that desire for worldly power, that desire for domination, for exploitation, in other words the ultimate core root of our illusion as we find ourselves in this material wprld. Ego. False ego. That is what this ring ultimately represents. Despite this, we see that there are some beings that in fact can wield the ring and that are not corrupted by it. It is very interresting. And I want to mention these three indivuals specifically.»

having taught a little…. I mean you are capable of watching and judging for yourself. It was.. idk, uncomfortable at times, but you are a free thinking individual:

Ring of Power goes like this.

Isildur

Ambition:  5

Greed:  5

Intelligence:  5

Luck:  5

Isildur (with ring of power)

Ambition:  5 + 5

Greed 5 + 5

Intelligence:  5

Luck:  5

Bilbo Baggins

Ambition:  2

Greed:  2

Intelligence:  7

Luck:  8

Bilbo Baggins (with ring of power)

Ambition 2 + 5

Greed 2 + 5

Intelligence:  7

Luck:  8

Ambition and greed are two personality traits most associated with power.

In which case the ring of power would offer +5 to those stats.

In the case of Isildur 10 out of 10 stats on ambition and greed would result in a significantly unbalanced personality.

Bilbo's 6/10 greed and ambition spec would be much more manageable. And it would take time for the change to manifest.

Anyone with a good amount of ambition and greed would find themselves overwhelmed by the ring boosting their base stats to unmanageable levels.

When they say the ring represents illusion. They could mean a state of illusion or deception would naturally arise by a person trying to validate 10/10 levels of greed and ambition. That level of greed might be unrealistic and illogical that illusion is the only thing that might possibly justify it.

Gollum diving into a volcano after the ring could represent 10/10 levels of greed / ambition along with the illusionary expectations that come with that state of existence.
