Ascetic Posted yesterday at 12:04 AM Leprosy as in spiritual leprosy, not the physical kind. Though I guess I could mean that too. “Go find a doctor” isn’t the response I’m looking for but I always appreciate hearing that response. Some answers are just correct I guess. Lairg Posted yesterday at 12:21 AM What do you mean by "spiritual leprosy"? Are you the case in question?
Ascetic Posted yesterday at 01:56 PM (edited) I mean how we confront the feeling that we are lacking or need something. The feeling of being impure or the cause of your own suffering. Let’s just say I am not the person I wish to be, I have a body that doesn’t suit me, and my consciousness is lost in impurity. Things that are against my nature, and the budding of disease that I did not call for. That is what spiritual leprosy is. johndoe2012 Posted yesterday at 02:24 PM 'I'm not good enough' can be a core belief running your life. You look for others to validate you, your relationships usually are unhealthy one way or the other etc etc. Energy healing or looking into your true nature are two ways of dealing with this. Inner child work, talk therapy or spiritual satsangs can also be useful.

I would say though it’s almost like a majority of the population suffers leprosy of some kind.

markern Posted 20 hours ago Perhaps a combination of meditations that aim to take you directly to the form of awareness where everything seems to be ok as they are, such as Loch Kellys Mahamudra glimpses or Shinzen Youngs Do Nothing meditation coupled with the inner smile. The inner smile provides self love and love for your body. The Mahamudra/Do nothing adresses the feeling of lack.

If the human has been correctly designed and implemented, it is likely that the human already contains the seeds of all that is needed. For example in the Christian tradition the kingdom of heaven is within. Of course that answer is too hard and we cannot hear it
johndoe2012 Posted 12 hours ago You could try something that I quickly made this morning https://blogconsciousjourney.blogspot.com/2025/02/self-love-for-your-body-and-mind.html?m=1 I did this myself and found it very relaxing. If you find it hard to love yourself, you fake it until you make it.
Sanity Check Posted 7 hours ago In my case. To treat myself better. I needed to learn to treat others better. And before I could be capable of helping others. I needed to learn to fix issues of my own. Circumstances aren't so bad, if progress and improvement can be observed over time. But if circumstances are regressing, deteriorating and worsening as time passes then that could be a depressing experience. Most would desire to be a resident of Rome during its rise to power. Rather than during its decline.

( Who 'calls for a disease' in the first place ???? ) Sorry not trying to be obscure. I just wanted to hear other people’s solutions to leprosy (my use of the word seems to more mean imperfection). I did not have a Christian upbringing but I did study the Bible later in life. I mean in cases like those, not having Christ consciousness is basically leprosy. As is not being enlightened or one with the self. What do I suffer from? I don’t have what I want and asceticism seems like the only way to become who I want to be.
