"current events" what's up?

What's up with the current events forum,  I hope trumpers didn't take over?  If people can't post then maybe delete the whole thing....

How are people feeling going without Current Events?  I´m noticing the forum is a lot less "exciting" now that I´m less likely to read opinions that stimulate the nerves.  It´s been nice, too, not to write things that incite controversy and drama; I don´t actually want to allienate lefty friends.  

 

On the other hand, if people find that Current Events was bringing community and perspective-expanding information into their lives, far be it from me to stand in the way.

Current Events is on "pause". Generations of admins are debating its fate, complicated by the ability to actually get on the board and post something we are all experiencing. I would expect an answer soon.

Generations? We? Who are we? This board has been infested by a few right wing persons with conspiracy theories. Further, the insults towards Maddie should be dealt with immediately. A number of members have been banned for breaking the rules, but egregious behavior by members towards Maddie is not immediately dealt with, but the mods form a huddle and discuss an obvious rule violation. Why is this instance not taken seriously?
