Gandhi's counter

"How did Gandhi view religion and politics?
Gandhiji used to say that religion can never be separated from politics. He said that he didn't mean religion as any particular religion like Hinduism or Islam but moral values that inform all religion is actually a real religion. He believed that politics must be guided by ethics drawn from religion".

Btw, the T.T.C. has lots of politics in it, should we take its political "Bullshit" per a shallow knee jerk definition else where?
We could say the same about many other teachings, for instance the politics related to Tibet and its form and practice of Buddhism which the Red Chinese want to co-op or destroy.

Btw #2, nobody is forcing anybody to read or comment here although some mods may force censorship?

On a related note, religion can never be separated from bullshit and opportunism.

Ethics do not need religion, nor does morality.

It’s quite the other way around, religion needs the ethics and morality that arise from community and empathy.

Religion does not give us morality, it appropriates morality from the human heart/mind and claims authorship.

We can readily see what happens with religion when empathy is absent.

Btw #2, I feel the mods are doing a wonderful job trying to maintain the health and focus of this little, shrinking community. They have my trust and appreciation.
