The acupuncture system known as 'tian gan di zhi' (celestial stems and terrestrial branches) has long been acknowledged as the jewel in the crown of the Nei Jing Su Wen. Its practice went underground following the communist revolution, resurfacing in Korea and is now practiced in a number of European countries.
