Blocked bladder meridian from cold/wind invasion

Recommended Posts

Hello,

A few weeks ago, I got accidental cold/wind invasion from opened windows in a car.

It has created lots of issues, the bladder meridian on the left side feels quite blocked from bottom up, the issue might have also affected the lungs and left kidney (hopefully not..) by the pathogen having entered unobstructed and filled places. I feel a "ball" of coldness on the left side of my abdomen and chest.

It has proven very stubborn and moderate amount of walking/yoga/acupressure can create too much fatigue and temporal headache. I toned down the attempts at clearing the invaded pathogen due to fear of injuring yin and jing.

I contemplate seeing an acupuncturist but I fear exposing to cold room due to high sensitivity (insufficient wei qi) and openess of channels.

I was wondering what could be done to safely deal with this ? (even in the scenario where seeing a TCM practitioner would be OK)

In all cases this would help me learn and gain wisdom from this 🙏

Usual disclaimer: don't take health advice from strangers on the internet: :-)

That said: Wind invasion hits the Bladder sinews first. You might find it useful to try and encourage sweating: Ginger tea, a good sauna, light exercise (but stay wrapped up). Some stretching, twisting, yi jin jing type movements may help. Back massage/cupping/gua sha to clear the channel all good. Stay warm & hydrated. An acupuncturist should be able to help - they should keep their treatment room warm! Your cold aversion might be a symptom of your situation.

For some weeks I have had a pain at the second joint of one thumb.   Eventually I saw a female friend had an energy line into that thumb.  When I sent her some love and removed the energy line, the pain went and has not returned.

It is common that such energy connections weaken the anchoring part of the body.  Similarly for your bladder meridian.  The weakened part is susceptible to external factors such as cold
