Azoro Posted June 27, 2008 (edited) Thanks, Bill. I'm told Michael no longer lives in Tucson. Mainly, I'm looking to start doing meditation. I guess it need not necessarily be of the Taoism variety. Any suggestions for good meditation groups in Tucson (Taoist or otherwise)? Edited June 27, 2008 by Azoro
Dainin Posted June 28, 2008 Hi Azoro, If you're not limiting to Taoism, you might want to check out: The Zen Desert Sangha They sound pretty well-established. The teacher's teacher, Robert Aitken, Roshi, was one of the earliest Americans to study zen in Japan, and taught in Hawaii for many years. Lozen Posted June 28, 2008 There's also the Shambhala Center: http://www.tucson.shambhala.org/ There's another sangha I've been to but forget their name, they are in the lineage of Thich Naht Hanh. As far as Taoism, check out Providence Institute; they've got some stuff. Taoist Yoga and every once in a while classes/workshops open to the public: http://www.providenceinstitute.com/ And then there is BodyWorks; they occasionally have workshops: http://www.bodyworksstudio.com/bwhomemain.html There are two acupuncture schools that may be of help. Also go to Seven Cups!! http://www.sevencups.com/community/tea-house/
