Unconditioned Posted August 22, 2008 So out of pure curiosity (funny how that works) I had started reading up on Buddhism and Hinduism a couple of years ago since I really didn't know much about them. I'd long since renounced my Christian faith when I realized the church I was in was a money-hungry cult. Â So I'd read up a lot on Buddhism, starting meditating regularly, etc. Then I found some interesting Yoga meditations that really opened my eyes to a few things but I wasn't into the dogma... just the root of the teachings... which after some initial reading up on Taoism I realized that the root of all the masters was in fact the Tao itself. Â So here I am, hoping to find a forum that is not clouded in dogma and open minded to discuss Truth regardless of its manifested form/origins.

kirkjerk Posted August 22, 2008 The "Taoist without knowing it" bit is interesting. Â Sometimes I think I'm some kind of natural born Taoist... but some of that springs from a less healthy desire to avoid responsibility for my own decisions... does anyone else get that feeling?
