The dangers of celibacy

Wow man. You really need to do some serious study if you actually follow the bible. Matt. 18:8-9, Mark. 9:45-46, Matt. 13:42-43, Matt. 25:41, Rev. 20:10, Rev. 20:14-15, Rev. 21:8 All speak about the lake of fire, and in far from a 'mental' place. My whole point is that fear mongering in religion is a terrible thing. It just happens that the abrahamic religions are practically based on fear mongering, as that is how they keep their followers in line. Someone asks if a certain practice is safe, and you post a scripture that is threatening, and largely irrelevant. Maybe you should wait until you have done some more of your religion course before you try to do much comparative religion stuff.

In case you have never studied those religions, they all share 1 central theme. If you are not one of us, you will burn for all eternity etc etc. Those religions slam themselves with comments like that.

As for all this burning-in-hell stuff, well, it's about the transmutation of desire into passion. The Tibetan Buddhist's tell us that all is animated by 'fohat' (prana, energy etc.). Now as we realise that lower vibrating energy manifests as matter and the higher as the electromagnetic spectrum we also understand that it is the interaction of the one with the self that brings about our being. The idea of going up or down is erroneous as, in truth, we can only ever move with the flow. Desire leads us astray and we loose ourselves in egoic delusions chasing shadows. People who think they've found a way to infinite ecstasy are just creating polarity and building a, relative, bottomless pit!

 

Passion does not lead or take or want because it is of itself. Passion it gentle yet strong, it holds you all through the night whispering to your heart with every beat and every breath. Passion is life and we are all alive and even though this body is not eternal our passion is.

For me the best passion that exist is to be on a bed together whit the girl i love or feel good, and just be there looking at each other and sleeping together whitout doing sex! Is not that the real heart pure love?

i've been masturbating again for a while,

just to see what effect it would have on me.

 

the difference is that,

when i didn't masturbate for prolonged periods...

i was exploding with energy.

 

 

 

since masturbating again,

i feel as centered and as happy as before i was masturbating.

 

so no difference in "spiritual enlightenment" for me,

but there is a difference in physical energy levels.

i'm a less hyper... but there is still enough energy to do all i would want to do.

No, there is no danger in not masturbating. But it would be better if you learn to consciously transmute your sexual energy into higher forms of energy. There is a technique taught by Master Choa Kok Sui about sexual transmutation. I think I read it from his book "Spiritual Essence of Man."
