宁 Posted September 17, 2008 Hi Harry, I myself am struggling with worldly business, and have come to appreciate the ideas of some teachers: between surviving practices and transcendence practices you need to master the surviving ones first. Neither you, nor me would know this for a fact, until we decided to plunge in, each in his own path, and go all the way. Good luck Harry L1 PS: Oh, the bet stays, i think: last one building an immortal dantien is a rotten egg!
Smile Posted September 18, 2008 Thank you Harry for your answer. I can definitely relate to you not having enough time. It took me a few years of struggling to extend the practice time from 1 hour/day to 4+ hours/day at the expanse of sacrificing personal life, entertainment, hobbies, etc. One thing is for sure - you won't find freedom if you work for someone else. Or I like what a really cool taobum Qui-Dao said: "What's the point if you train hard, but then go to work for someone and give your power away. It's absurd and impossible to be free and to have a master (boss) telling you what to do all day long". So my new goal is now to be free from my present job... sunshine Posted September 18, 2008 Thankx guys for the reflections So today I set the first step of bringing a private practice of acupuncture a life. Looked for a room to use and by now it looks like I will be using one in the practice of two psychotherapists. I don't yet really know what to expect and how to have people have interest in me... but if I am right this once again is something belonging into the realms of Heaven's Will... and maybe some good old luck. So. I intend to mainly focus on raising money for years to come. I have many trainings ahead in acupuncture and alternative psychotherapy. That is binding a lot of energy and time. Hope to find a practice I manage to do on a regular base that helps me with health and energy issues... and maybe I get some more clarity of what it is all about. Can it really be that only so few know how to get back to the Source? Passing the wheels of Karma and reincarnation? I wonder... Anybody familiar with Ken Wilber. I am currently reading his book on Integral Spirituality. I feel quite secure to say that giving up once private life, social acitivites etc. likely is not part of Integral Spirituality. Our personalities tend to lack in certain areas if we do not manage to live that part well. I wonder if excluding this in favor of "just practice" is not just another trap in becoming whole, integrated and enlightened beings... I don't want to doubt your approaches guys. It just is something I wonder about for myself... Glad to be able to share Thankx for listening Harry Thankx guys for the reflections So today I set the first step of bringing a private practice of acupuncture a life. gendao Posted September 25, 2008 (edited) Yikes, still looking up airfares, and it's getting close to crunch time here for final decision...wish I had more time to plan for this. Kind of been distracted lately by the financial upheavals on Wall St. and figuring out how to best preserve my assets. In the meantime, I have a few more questions, though: 1) Does Wang Liping give any group shaktipat/transmission/darshan? IOW, will we receive any type of energetic activation in his presence? According to Sean Denty, it seems like this was the case - at least in smaller group settings? What about a large seminar class, though? The excitement of meeting Wang Liping, was quickly overshadowed by long painful sittings were Sifu Wang used his abilities to create a field of external pressure that literally pressed in on us, magnifying the usual discomfort of sitting for over and hour by several times. We were asked not to move at all during training sessions while Sifu, in his gentle, pleasant voice, ordered us to simply obey his commands like good solders as he led us through each training session, occasionally adjusting our qi and the color and quality of our individual fields. 2) What type of dedication does the training entail? Some rumors have it that they include:4 months of sexual abstinence4 hours a day of meditation and other exercises, plus some additional weekly requirements minimum requirement after 2 year's practice is to be able to sit in full lotus for one hour without moving or having a single thought Right now, I'm internally debating on whether I should just damn the torpedos and go to this seminar, or possibly try for Shen Laoshi's class in December, instead? If WLP does give some energetic activation/transmission and will have nightly sessions with foreign students with sucky (or no) Chinese, then I may just push ahead and try for this class. If not, then I may try for Shen Laoshi's class... Of course, the other unrelated variable right now is our f'n economy, which is in such a critical unstable stage right now. So, next month is not exactly the best time to be letting go of the reins on my life savings for 2 weeks...when big, sudden changes could be happening. Fawk I dunno, decisions, DECISIONS!!! Ormus Posted December 17, 2016 In tread it is mentioned that Wang say he is to live 150 years. Then claim that he is Shen or Tian Xian(Immortal).Strange? One another strange occasion is that again some people like David Verdesi is mentioned to have contraversial and not clear role, with implication that it is all about huge sum of dollars. How one Xian find himself in such position? To me it is not clear if he teach Nei Gong or Nei Dan(Jindan Dao),because here and in book title it mention Nei Gong.
