.broken. Posted September 11, 2008 http://okinawa-diet.com/okinawa_diet/food_pyramid.html  I believe diet is the main factor  I would agree that it is very important, but more important than mental well-being and exercise? In all honesty I would not be too quick to believe that there is such a thing as "the main factor." In my opinion all are very important.  Yours humbly, James
Patrick Brown Posted September 12, 2008 Eating less is always good advice. I sometimes don't eat much for a few days and than have a slap up meal. I figure constantly filling the gut with food is akin to cattle grazing! My favourite food is probably meat on it's own especially lamb, god it makes me horny. Seth Ananda Posted February 2, 2012 Today when speaking to a colleage about a Seventh Day Adventist restaurant (which the Loma Linda, CA group is), she reminded me about the Blue Zones research. Interesting that two groups eschew alcohol but one group drinks red wine. I like the no "time urgency" of the Okinawans.  Hey Rainbowvein thanks for that little diagram  Cool Subject. My Seventh Day Adventist great grandpa lived to 106, was a life long vegetarian, did a one mile walk, 10 pushups and 10 situps every morning right till the end.  He had all his faculties and never really got got sick.
