Keep it clean please

I come here to learn and be inspired by other folks on the Way, not to have my mind and energy sullied by the few who insist on using derogatory language and low character.

 

As a polite request could we please keep posts clean, respectful and free of unnecessary expletives.

If there's a nasty post that should come to his attention, just pm Sean with it and he'll warn or suspend the poster for a bit or run them off if it becomes necessary.

 

Also there's an "ignore" function in the controls section that works wonders too.

 

If I were the webmaster, I wouldn't be as permissive as Sean is, but it's his place and he wants to be as inclusive as possible. People who try your patience are said to be a blessing in some traditions!

I think Sean does a great job of approaching this forum with the attitude of Wu Wei. I've been a part of another forum where entire threads routinely disappear because the moderate thought they were inappropriate. When necessary Sean intervenes but keeps it to a minimum. There are and have been a number of posters here who are less mature and less civil when crafting their posts. I always read and reread my posts several times to make sure it says what I want without being offensive or hurtful. On the other hand, we can get a bit emotional at times. I would second Stig's plea for a mature, civil, and considered discussion on this forum. When things escalate, ask yourself if your post will really enhance the discussion. Or does it simply represent some emotional or other conditioned response.

Yes I'm aware that some people find my behaviour somewhat unacceptable at times but it's just my way of breaking the Kunlun mantra or whatever monotone is being spun into a frenzied stench. I was banned a couple of months back for saying Max was a conman! I've since refrained from making such comments about the guru although the whole situation is annoying as people keep hyping Max yet can't provide any facts.

 

Hey I'm getting bored of talking about Max although the constant guru worship is rather pathetic.

When the Kunlun discussion starts dying down, you start it up with a new inflammatory tittle guaranteed to bring the same heated arguments brought up the past dozen times.

For everyone's benefit, including yours, I am asking you to desist and refrain from such behaviour. There are plenty of other forums around that accept and even applaud such vulgarity but this is not one of them.

 

So, quite simply and directly, I suggest you either cultivate some decency or leave and never come back.

If one of the 15 women I work with saw that image as they walked by my computer at work I would be fired! I never come here during work though.

The company I work for could care less about such questions. A co-worker could easily get bent over the pic and file a complaint.
