dragonfire Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) Just curious to know if anyone knows or heard of whether animals are capable of killing themselves. So far I think humans are the only one's capable of this. It is my firm belief that animals do not have the conscious or decision making to kill themselves. Stop eating is not considered suicide. Neither is whale beaching. Ever see a wolf or dog jump off a cliff? The wolf and dog sense the danger, and so does the human, but who does it? Isn't that something? Aren't we unique? Desert Eagle Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) I've seen a pigeon intentionally stay on the road in front of traffic without flying away, perhaps it was depressed or ill. it stayed there for hours until I came back the same road and found it squished. I thought pigeons were intelligent and always moved away from traffic. Edited October 4, 2008 by Desert Eagle
