Prince... Posted November 25, 2009 I like Zhao Cong. She's a pipa player. I recently ordered her CD, but I cannot find the CD she did with a guitar player. I also think she's HOT, but women with musical talents seem to do it for me. Zhao Cong, Ambushed from All Sides http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHLTmnYSDoQ Zhao Cong, Moonlight on Spring River Zhao Cong, Dance Tune of the Yi Tribe I also like to listen to Mercan Dede's newest CD, Mercanistan. It's like turkish hip hop (sort of). Santiago turned me on to them during a full moon shaktipat back in September. zazaza Posted November 28, 2009 (edited) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KBZ1IJKM Etnica - 1056.mp3 This is highquality deep oldskool progressive trance. ---------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g13kuvgk-2U...PL&index=29 Etnica - Traktor activity (live) A good one too. Nevermind the guy in the intro. ----------- I wouldn't mind having an American Indian shaman drum. Music does not have to include more than repetitive beats for me. doc benway Posted November 28, 2009 (edited) Some guitar related stuff.... as you may figure out, I'm obsessed with Dusan Bogdanovic's music. A traditional lullaby done in an improvisatory manner - Dusan's specialty Oh3YYYoWQUw A very beautiful, hypnotic piece - probably my single favorite piece to play (but this isn't me) VeK8B4Wq6BY And another classical guitar genius - Carlo Domeniconi. Here is his piece called Koyunbaba which is meant to evoke the Turkish countryside. The first movement as performed by Aniello Desiderio dCxtS6AZG7k I can't find a really good clip of the 2nd movement yet... The last two movements as performed by the composer DwKDLgwTnQU nqw043POqRw ps it's not quite as hard as it sounds, I play it passably well, but certainly not like him. If you're a guitarist, track down the music - it's a lot of fun to play. Edited November 28, 2009 by steve f

Pheurton Skeurto Posted December 1, 2009 I was listening to the latest NOMEANSNO album yesterday, and I am becoming more & more convinced that Rob has been studying Buddhism... it's all over the record once you think to listen for it. NOMEANSNO is also not for your average dinner party... in case anyone is thinking about looking around for some.

Very old school sound, I guess that makes sense since they've been around since '79. I don't know how I missed them. Bob Marley ....
