Stigweard Posted October 9, 2008 (edited) You're both right, imo, and the key is balance and harmonious integration. Some people need more work initially in order to correct imbalances so that they can circulate, integrate, more energy harmoniously. Too much too soon and it's gonna cause trouble. Agreed that gradual work is one of the keys. Other people have a structure and energetic system that can integrate, harmonize increased voltage closer to right-away. In any case, whether it's natural for you immediately, or whatever amount of work and discovery it takes, a more balanced system integrates more energy for benefit. What he said... perfectamundo! Which is why basic foundation training is so vital, including: ~ Body loosening/balancing exercises like Song Gong, ~ Cultivation of virtue. One must prepare the soil well first before reaping a bountiful harvest. Edited October 9, 2008 by Stigweard
Cameron Posted October 9, 2008 I agree too much too soon could be a problem. If you never did qigong before and start doing standing meditation and big draws for 2 hours a day all of a sudden your not giving your system much time to acclimate. Basically...don't force things. Take your time.
