In a way you should thank him, he is laying out his cards right from the beginning. Imagine if you bought his products and practiced his system for a few years only then to here this stuff.

I think the issue is being misdirected here. The issue is NOT about paying money here.

 

- The issue is about he promising a refund and not sticking to his word.

- The issue is about tall claims and threats.

 

Where did Chris (Mantra) or Santi or Spring Forest guys (I dunno if you were talking about Drew; if you are, please note that he is not commercially associated with Master Lin and it is sheer blasphemy to even compare Master Lin with this guy) do anything similar? Advertising is NOT the issue here.

I do not think Nutella Chi Kung Master & his Qwantoong Kitchen Matrix should be banned but he is a bit of a "wanker" as my british friends would say...And he is Ball-less that he can not answer my questions with out vagueness and "holier than though bullshit." Also he uses fear tactics to get people to sign up for his ridiculous course. All that guy needs is healing and balance. There are some mommy daddy issues there at hand that he needs to resolve.

 

As for me promoting seminars...

 

true enough i do promote here so what? People benefit. I do so to share. Anyone that knows or takes my courses nows I go beyond the call of duty & also the time etc to help out so I am not in any way ripping people off. Also i refund money when asked and also i actually contribute to this forum in many ways. I have actually helped few people on this forum for the better in their times of need with ENERGY, $ LEARNING MATERIAL ETC. etc. And I never asked for a dime etc nor wanted to do. I truly do things cause i want to help others.

There is nothing wrong with making money for your time. I can not tell you the thousands of hours & dollars I have spent to learn what I know. So there is no problem in charging a reasonable fee for your time. Or make a donation of some sorts. But Its wrong to steal peoples money and also not return it if they want it back cause they are unhappy with you.

Im not having a go at you or your practices i was stating that many people i used you as an example that people come here and use this place to get students and or sell there products that is a good thing and should be allowed as there could be something learnt from everyone even shitella, shitipak kundalini, shitlun lol, anyway i think its healthy way to get your name and system out there. Refunds depends on the circumstances and the cost who knows what they did with the information you gave them. They could have burn copies, given out the information to others for small cost and or friends. Alot of hard work and money goes into developing your arts as you know i wouldnt give back money to someone if i feel i did the right thing and they wanted the information!

Now as for keeping the "new people" and "inexperienced" safe...

 

I mean sure, it'd be nice if everyone could trust everyone else. It'd be nice if there weren't so many con artists out there. I'm not saying that Li Jiong is a con artist, I'm just saying that just because you'd like to believe that you can trust someone doesn't mean you can.

 

In light of that, the best thing that one can encourage a "new person" is to look around and do lots of background research and compare notes to other things. A lot of websites out there have lots of "basics" out there and stuff. And even though different masters may go off on different paths, a lot of them share different underlying elements. If there's a guy that sticks out suspiciously, that could raise some warning flags. I mean sure, I'm all for being an individual, not following the crowd, thinking outside the box, yadda yadda yadda but... I mean if you are a new person you need to learn to check to make sure you're not being fooled.

 

So regardless of whether it may be perceived that Li Jiong is out to "prey on new people" (not saying that is what I think), new people should be looking around anyway and not always taking one person's word for truth... explore, learn, think, do your own stuff, and figure out what is for you. At least that's what I have been doing as a "new guy"

Keep Li Jiong, but what would I know I like Patric too (o.k the porn was worrying, good call) and WYG. I also see my old friend Starjumper is back too, Hi Star. Edit: I don't miss Buddy and that is a poor reflection on me. Need to work on that, still have no idea how he pushed my buttons.

I'd like to make a distinction between banning and suspension if I may.

 

Suspension is when I kick someone off for anywhere between 7-30 days, typically, for losing their cool and being insulting. After their little Tao Bums fast they are free to come back.

 

Some choose to leave for good after this, so it may appear they've been permanently banned, but that's not normally the case. WYG, Patrick, Starjumper, Buddy ... none were banned, just suspended for a number of days.

 

Banning is (semi) permanent and super rare. I can only remember one person that's actually been banned from this forum. And that is only because he openly admitted he had no intention of discontinuing his rampage of personal insults. Was a shame because he is quite a colorful character. It's quite possible he is still here actually, with other names, which is fine as long as he is respectful.

 

I've never seen Li Jiong stoop to meaningless low blow insults in his posts here, which is really the standard by which people get suspended. So in all fairness he is not even really a candidate for suspension let alone banning at this point.

 

I will say though, for whatever it's worth, that I personally find his brand of "Taoism" resonant with fear-based cult-speak and irrational fundamentalism of the lowest form. So I understand the concern. I just trust people here are smart enough to make their own choices. And I think Cameron said it best. He's doing us a favor by laying all his cards on the table for everyone. Imagine dedicating yourself for years to a teacher like this but that is all smiles up front. Only as the years pass, and when you are most receptive, does he slowly feed you the fire and brimstone apocalyptic vision. It's quite possible this is what happened to Li.
