genmaicha Posted October 23, 2008 Just yesterday the UK Ministry of Defense released some files on UFOs. Here's an article in the Times: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article4974540.ece Two commentators are outraged that their government had just decided to take the risk of starting an interplanetary war at that time without consulting their people. And obviously the odds of the humans' winning that war wouldn't have been that great. Â Here's the link to the archive: http://ufos.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ Â and more info on it: http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/DefenceN...herUfoFiles.htm

You cant just let unidentified aircraft fly anywhere they want, or you have things like 9/11 happening.
gossamer Posted October 23, 2008 You know, one of those UFO's was described as being about the size "of an aircraft carrier", and right in front of those pilots shooting at it, it just "disappeared"..........which has always made me wonder if UFO's are doing an inter-dimensional kind of 'traveling'.  Peace, gossamer      I read over it briefly and the thing is, if the military gets an unidentified blip on radar then the first thing they'll do is scramble jets because they assume it's an enemy aircraft and so comes the order to shoot it down. Â Peace, gossamer Who cares. Military protocal is to shoot down unidentified objects, whether friendly or not, if they remain unidentified or just maintain radio silence it's the objective of the military to shoot them down. Same thing goes in the animal kingdom. A dog who walks into the yard of another dog cant expect not to fight. I'm sure that if these 'ufos' contain advanced alien lifeforms then they would at the very least attempt to make contact via light show or something else. Unless, they feel no threat at all and can just outrun everything we have, which seems to be the case. I'm not saying that the 'ufo' is hostile, I'm saying that certain protocal is in place for reason.
gossamer Posted October 23, 2008 Dear MPWay,  No problem.........I was just really speculating on something so large, just "disappearing".  I have NO PROBLEM with 'shoot down' orders if that's what the commanders SAY to do.........one DOES IT!  That's just the military way.  I wasn't disagreeing with you, in any way.   Peace, gossamer    Who cares. Peace, gossamer That's the problem with online messeges. You cant tell whether or not they were hostile and I guess by looking at my messege it appears as though it's hostile but I meant no harm. I would say that if I were a pilot and I saw a huge aircraft carrier in the sky, I'm not going to commit suicide by attacking something that can obviously take me out, without breaking a sweat I'm sure. I'm sure we'd know by now whether or not 'they' are hostile anyway, it appears as though they arent. Edited October 23, 2008 by MPWay
