willceurvels Posted November 5, 2008 Over the past couple of years I've developed an interest and love for Oriental Medicine. Having just graduated from college, I've decided I'd like to pursue that interest a little further and will be traveling to Taiwan in a month to improve my Classical and Mandarin Chinese so that I can attend an OMD university in China. Along the way, I've come to realize that taoist metaphysics and practice have had a huge influence on oriental medicine and I've concluded that a deep understanding of Taoism will be indispensable to my training as a doctor. I've done some cursory study of Taoism, but I'm looking for more information and, in particular I'm wondering: Â Does anyone know how to go about living in a Taoist monastery and if any exist in Taiwan or China that could be recommended?
