Yup, agreed. Though seeing an acupuncturist all the time is inconvenient and pricey. Self-acupressure (no needles) is a good solution. If you have some acute trouble that requires an acupuncturist, during the visit ask him/her for acupoints that you can massage yourself at home between treatments. Otherwise, gradually learning acupressure on your own is time well spent, imo. Huge missing piece of the puzzle, imo. Helps smooth integration of all sorts of stuff. I've been writing about that lately in the massage section of my site, and in about the last 2 dozen posts of my blog. I recommend finding one NCCAOM certified if you are in the USA. What it won't do is correct imbalances brought about from continued practice of a forced cultivation system that agitates each nerve synapse in the spine. If the system that you practice doesn't do that then acupuncture, clinical qigong, massage and other methods certainly should help.

Yes,I think you are 100 prosent correct about the forcing cultivation.I had nerve system problems from earlier qi gong training with diffrent forcing exersises, like robert bruce, spinal breathing and forcing the orbit. But meditation opened up,and it works great with spring forest active exersise Edited December 12, 2008 by sykkelpump

No, you'll be fine. Yoga and acupuncture are not a problem.

Mak_Tin_Si Posted December 17, 2008 Accupuncture will not conflict with ANYTHING you do. But there is many things that is a good complimize with the accupuncture art. In Taoism, we use needles accupuncture with symbols FU and mantras to inject energy into the person's body to speed up the circulation. Just like how people use electricity in needles for accupuncture. In taoism spiritual healings, we also have something that use needles with FU to cure the thailand black magic, GONG TAU. Which can cause death.
