Sloppy Zhang Posted May 8, 2010 I know this is an old post, but I'm surprised it didn't get any replies  I find this subject really interesting, especially about the whole "relaxation effect" and stuff.
buddhasbellybuttonfluff Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) My my, does the ghost of Jean-Baptiste Lamarck linger around here? Â I always found this article from Peter Svoboda as very fascinating for how he describes an Aghori adept who could change his eye color at will: Â I remember lots of little things about him, like his earthy sense of humor and his comic timing; like the way he would sometimes, just for fun, adjust his eye color to match mine (for he could change his eye color at will). Who knows what feats the cultivation arts might eventually enable. It almost seems as if strong, recurrent tendencies allow us to purposefully alter the physical function of the body. Perhaps consciousness has a stronger role in the biological evolution than we've ever admitted; I've always found the purely mechanical sense of "natural selection" quite inadequate to describe how the species mutate.
