This reminded me of a time I stayed at a hotel for a night, with not nearly as intense an experience, but I found it curious that it was also connected to the sensation of odor. Right when entered the room I noticed a penetrating smell of something similar to gasoline. Quite strong. My father who stayed with me in the room did not smell anything unusual so I thought I am probably imagining things. During the evening and night my mood was agitated and even aggressive for no reason and kept getting worse and this on my first day of vacation For me thats a tell-tale sign that something is off. So next morning we changed hotels and all was good.

Hi Mak,

 

Why is it that some fu is on the yellow paper meant to be worn, or bathed in, or burnt etc. What purpose is the special ritual, if the fu can be simply drawn on a person with a finger in the air? Why are there so many different fu's, like statues and paper on walls? If an initiated Taoist with the knowlege and power can activate a fu, then can ANYTHING be a fu? Like chocolate cake or a text message to a telephone?
