    • I go straight to the section I'm interested in.

If it turns out we mostly use the view new posts function, then one really doesn't lose much traffic by posting in the personal practice section and maybe that'll be an enticement for Mak Tin Si to use his practice section so we can keep his valuable perspectives in one place for the sake of future visitors and searches.

Mak Tin Si doesnt bug me.

Bugs me :) but I'll get over it.

Probably because I just look in Taoist Discussion for the threads that I'm interested in. Don't like going back pages and pages. Can't even remember which threads I've been discussing things in :(

Also I feel his information is more "information for reference" than "discussion". If he was just an idiot posting rubbish I wouldn't care. But I feel like I could be missing something interesting if I don't read them. But then days later when I think "oh yes, now which post was that I'd like to read it again" I can't find the post.

Anyhow off to find that kidney medicine post..... Perhaps we will get an easier search engine for new years :)

Or a few extra forums, like "Traditional Taoist" that people have been asking for a bit.

But that bookclub does not get many posts, even I post book related stuff in general due to traffic

Or Pietro's TAG option for searching would be nice

It's good to see the place grow

edit: although there is only 1 MTS thread on the front page. The "Discussion" always lags the "reality"

Funny how we are always witch hunting someone

Mak Tin Si

The guy in the rain coat (how quick I forget)

Patric Brown

Proctor

WYG

Kunlun threads

Foundation threads

etc

:)

thanks all!

It's how I enter the site, usually.

Otherwise will use the search option.

... or go to the forum and see what others are looking at

:D

None of you bug me, LOL!

Apt to find this all very amusing usually?

Agree that topics get lost,

that I would love to see get shared more,

or more information shared in?

there are a lot of wonderfully intelligent people in here,

What they have to say is easily missed sometimes?

Overlooked, lost before it can get bumped up again.

AhWell.

It's all very organic, aint it?

Stay well!

Shon

cyber-organic. :)

So if Mak Tin Si were to use the personal practice discussion, he'd lose a lot of his readers. Given that, he should continue to do what he's doing, imo.

If he posted in a single thread he would not lose readers.

Actually this is one of the situation where I feel that a new section like the book club would be good solution.

We could also call it "religious taoism".

Or Taoism in Nature, so if another Taoist Priest turns up later, we are not starting a major major war, but just a major war :)

I use "view new posts" and then click on the topics I'm following or that are of interest.

I just started using "View new posts" because of too many good posts being pushed out from the front page.
