minkus Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) transglobal underground with this one iit's nice to take the sufi spin, the last of the 5 tibetan exercises  Rain your link is not working, i was curieus and must say this is a beautifull song you found here with very nice dance and symbols in it linked it below for convenience.  Cheers !  BOk7_iBWelI   Also as an extra note: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=sham...;oq=shaman+hea# in this documentary about shamanism @ 1 hour and 12 seconds there is a part that starts about HIAH PARK. She is a korean Mudang wich practices ritual dance and scents of flowers as a way of healing people, seems very very intense and i would love to pay her a visit since its only a few hours driving from here, she resides in Germany often  I believe she is very very powerfull after seeing her eyes in the documentary.  This is her website: http://www.hiahpark.de/com/index.htm  Kind regards, Mike Edited January 26, 2009 by minkus

I really like her Wave DVD's.  Enlightened or not, don't we want to fill our lives with song and dance? Michael  Aren't we constantly dancing to the rhythm found in life itself? Birth, Growth, Decay, Death.  Seen another way, the whole of life is one big dance with the Tao keeping the rhythm going endlessly.  And less poetically, if you're really dancing can't you help but smile? Creation Posted January 27, 2009 Hindu tradition is serious into dance. Now you see it in Bollywood movies and whatnot, but classically dance was a very advanced form of yoga.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natya_Yoga  I don't know if there are any pure lineages around today. After all, devadasis turned into glorified prostitutes; natya yoga could have met a similar fate. But if it traces back to Narada Muni, it was the real shit once upon a time. Spectrum Posted January 27, 2009 Natya is alive and well in multiple forms of classical Indian dance. Odissi, Bharatanatym, etc. The only reason why the devadasis are percieved to have turned to prostitutes was after british colonization, but not all... Â sTQTr1Amd24 Â The three major forms of indian dance were reconstructed from temple archetecture. The circle and the square of the indian arts started in these spaces of worship. Creation Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the info and the video Spectrum! Â I have always fancied the idea of studying Natya, as dancing is one of my favorite pastimes. I'm glad to know its still alive and well. Â I was under the impression that devadasis were becoming prostitutes a few centuries before the British colonized India. Something about the economics and politics of running temples... But I am aware that at no point were not all of them were engaged in such a profession, and it was not the norm everywhere. Â Â the Buddha said dancing is the act of a madman. Â Most enlightened beings have been called that at one point or another.
