rainbow Posted February 10, 2009 A friend just introduced me to Sahaja meditation (chicagoyoga.org) and it feels perfect for me. It involves the Kundalini energy. I am in the middle of a research project on Qigong and wondered if anyone could point me towards academic sources on Qigong (involving Kundalini?). Within the texts and history of Qigong is the Kundalini energy mentioned? I am very curious. Thanks all, Rainbow

Taiji Bum Posted February 10, 2009 I dont know about academic I had the energy blasting up my spine that sounded a lot like Kundalini is supposed to be like. It lasted 7 years almost to the day it started. It started when I began to meditate in March of 1992 with a descent of what I figure was some sort of shaktipat. It was like a shaft of liquid lightening drilled me on top of my head and exploded in my brain, then descended to my chest to explode there and then down to my belly to explode there too and then permeated my whole body from that point. Once a month from that point I began to feel kundalini symptoms and they lasted until March 1999 when the energy blasted up my spine and I had a tunnel experience and saw a flaming swastika in the center of my brain. My kundalini stuff was hand in hand with my Taoist alchemy practice. Strange stuff indeed...

Spiritual_Aspirant Posted February 11, 2009 I can recommend a few books that deal with the subject: 1. Achieving Oneness with the Higher Soul by Master Choa Kok Sui (This one deals with it better) 2. Awakening Healing Energy of the Tao by Mantak Chia 3. Awakening Healing Light of the Tao by Mantak Chia
