Marblehead Posted July 18, 2011 So this morning before going outside to do some chores the last song to play was this one: It stayed on my mind and was going over and over then suddenly I thought "No!" and then this song popped up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlzrNKN3rZI&feature=related That's all I need. Marblehead Posted July 23, 2011 Not a style of music I listen to but I must admit it is very nice indeed. I am listening to Ernest Tubb right now. If you don't already know who he was you probably wouldn't be interested anyhow.

Marblehead Posted July 23, 2011 No arguement from me about David. Can we go back to the roots? BTW I drove past that club the guys sang about in their song "Smoke On The Water" about a year after it had burned. (That was when I was stationed in Italy.) Marblehead Posted July 23, 2011 To walk across Texas is a long freakin' walk! I got side-tracked and am now listening to The Beatles. Mostly very early stuff right now.
Marblehead Posted July 24, 2011 Yeah, that is original Country music. Back then they used whatever instruments they had available and sounded right for the song. Jimmie Rodgers used many different instruments in his music. Louis Armstrong even played on a couple of Jimmie's recordings when they happened to be in a New York studio on the same day. I'm still listening to my Beatles collection.

May your hearts find peace Yes, sad about what happened in Norway. I need to be in a certain mood to be able to listen to that style of music but I do enjoy it during those times.
