Marblehead Posted July 26, 2011 Yes, a great group. Â Sad how the group just faded out of popularity after Robin left when he wasn't that much of an influence with the group. Maybe it was just their time.

Right now a mix of Dewey Balfa (Cajun) and Boozoo Chavis (Zydeco).

Marblehead Posted July 28, 2011 I saw Allison once but was disappointed. She was only half there and her entire performance was mechanical. Â I have seen Rhonda and was very impressed. Â Here's a great fiddle player for you: Â
Marblehead Posted July 28, 2011 I don't have much of Johnny's music. A few songs - not even an album. But I do admire what he did. Â I'm listening to Soul music from the 1960's this evening.

Marblehead Posted August 5, 2011 Â I don't have any of that type of music in my collection. I used to listen to it on one of the internet stations a few years ago. Haven't done that recently. Â Right now I am still with my DooWop music. The Meadowlarks just finished performing. Is there a youtube sample? Â Yes! Â

Marblehead Posted August 5, 2011 Listening on vinyl just like the old days. Â Actually, I don't put them on the platter much any more. I recorded all of them into the computer and that is where I listen to them most of the time. I have taken good care of the records and the sleeves so some of them would probably rank high on a collector's list.
