Byron Beline was playing the fiddle. One of the greats. Dan Crary was on the flat back guitar. Both sing on some of their music. John Hickman doesn't sing as far as I know but he sure can play the banjo. I learned about Beline first through a couple of hard drivin' Bluegrass songs he did early in his career. Yes, sad, but then, if you do the crime you might be required to do the time. BTW I'm still listening to my collection of what I categorized as Music Americana.
