Hehehe. I just remembered; a long time ago I was talking with someone who played classical piano and he asked me who my favorite pianist is and I said Jerry Lee Lewis.

I just looked at Johnny's web site and he has tour dats set for next year so I guess he isn't ready to retire yet.

I must be getting some the the Rodgers mixed up. I saw a Jimmy Rogers some 15 years ago here in Santa Fe. He was very old and passed away shortly after. He was a Chicago bluesman. Just found a link.

Yes. There are actually three Jimmy Rodgers important in music.

 

The first - the Grandfather of Country Music. (The Yodeling Brakeman)

 

Second - Rock-a-Billy artist from the late 50's through the 60's.

 

Third (or maybe second, not sure of the ages) the Blues Man.

 

I didn't know the Blues Jimmy past away.
