Marblehead Posted December 23, 2013 There's a story that goes along with this. I was stationed in Italy when these guys were popular. I bought two of their LPs. Anyway, one day I had been at the Exchange buying stuff including one of their LPs. On my way back home I decided to stop and visit with a friend. My friend, his wife and his teenage daughter were present and we were talking and I was asked what I had been doing, said I had been shopping, was then asked what I bought, replied and mentioned records, was asked what music I had bought and mentioned Badfinger. My friend's daughter laughed when I mentioned their name, and I couldn't help but laugh (the parents remained silent). A memory: I recall one year when I was doing some wood work outside using a circular saw whenever I ran the saw male cicadas would try to mate with me.
