Dark Templar Posted June 19, 2014 Way too sad for me. Life is a sad thing sometimes. We need music for joy and music for sadness.
Marblehead Posted June 19, 2014 Life is a sad thing sometimes. We need music for joy and music for sadness. Excellent retaliation. But me? Oh, I've had enough sadness in my life. Times are happy now. Even when I listen to Bluegrass music of the Blues I can listen to their stories, most of them I have already lived myself, and appreciate what a good life I have now. And that's uplifting! Marblehead Posted June 20, 2014 I'll thank you now. I loved The Experience. When Jimi broke up the band and started reaching out I felt he reached too far. Right now I am listening to some early Faces with Rod Stewart.

Marblehead Posted June 20, 2014 birds & crickets, the wind rushing in between the trees It's too damn hot outside for me to be doing that right now. It is 103 degrees just outside my front door (in the shade).
silent thunder Posted June 22, 2014 this one is a pretty sure bet to change the vibe... it's an awesome counter to any downer-dans in the room.

Marblehead Posted June 30, 2014 I don't listen to him often. I have only on album of his and one of Edgar's.

Marblehead Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) I loved her prelude to that. Edit to add: I wonder if she can do horse stance. Edited July 8, 2014 by Marblehead

Marblehead Posted July 9, 2014 Didn't you like the rest of the track then MH? It was okay but not inspiring. The prelude went deep.
gatito Posted July 9, 2014 Perhaps you should check out the Kodo drummers MH? I saw them at the South Bank complex in London the year that I met my wife - incredible experience that cannot possibly be matched even in large screen HD and surround sound. Anyway, I've just come across Zaz's 2013 album and I'm enjoying the variety. Some people compare her to Piaf but she comes across as a lot happier to me: - http://youtu.be/eVUEWLvIISs
Marblehead Posted July 9, 2014 Yeah, well, Piaf had a really rough life. She mostly sang about her life. Much music I have. And many different styles and well as from many different cultures. I was listening to Rai music a little earlier.
