gentlewind Posted August 10, 2014 The only Priest I trust Judas Priest are my favorite all time metal band, and the following song will be played at my cremation as the coffin goes beyond the final curtain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMiqI54-X3s On arrival for my transition party, this wonderful Leonard Cohen song will be played I am currently writing out my own eulogy for when the exit door is ready for me to bring my current role to a close. It will be a celebration and not a sorry affair, fancy dress attire is welcome from those who attend, and any who turn up dressed in black will be asked to leave! A sacred smoke will be on offer to those who wish to partake Not planning on exiting just yet, but always wise to be prepared!!! Another Leonard tune, and one of my all time favorites of his. Ballad Of The Absent Mare - pure class!
Marblehead Posted August 10, 2014 Good Cohen songs. I disagree regarding the beginning of heavy metal music thought as that goes to Leslie West (Mountain). (And yes, Black Sabbath was right on their heels.)
Grigory Posted August 10, 2014 The sound of cable "news" my roommate always runs in the background because he's afraid of silence.
silent thunder Posted August 10, 2014 I have a friend with pretty harsh tinnitus. Whenever he's around we have to have something going so he can sleep at night without going bat-shit crazy. But gods... CNN? ouch... We opt for something along these lines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcJ-o_fh1B4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_313622&feature=iv&src_vid=GyUwg2fBg3k&v=i-yu4NoS1HM

Vmarco Posted August 20, 2014 Yeah, I know what happened. You fell in love with the pretty lady. No,...it was a 1971 LSD experience that suggests an awareness of the Tao: Yesterday you know it never really happened Tomorrow you know it never really had You, you're only what you think you might be I am only what you think I am It happened today It happened today It happened today It happened today I know that you're afraid of what might happen Uncertain what to give and what to take Already you've forgotten why you came here I can see exactly why you came It happened today It happened today It happened today It happened today What I was I find it hard to be now Now I am and very soon you'll feel You keep tellin' me the time is tellin' I tell you the time will tell in time It happened today It happened today It happened today It happened today Today

Apech Posted August 20, 2014 I cant translate that ... either its a song about playing with your hair or ...... she just cant stop doing that ? I'll spare you the rest but here's the chorus: E esqueces essa canção que já não passa na rádio Mas que vive secretamente dentro de ti. Fechas a porta à chave com duas voltas e sais. ... rough translation And you forget the song that was just on the radio, But lives secretly inside of you, Lock the door with two turns of the key and leave. ... well you did ask (sort of). Apech Posted August 21, 2014 Actually Nungas (if I can call you that) think the song was this one ... which takes about a minute to get going ... but you'll like it being Aussie cos it starts with a bloke in the bush shooing away a fly and smoking ... later there are nice ladies and a bit of a punch up ... sooo ... perfect really.
