Taomeow Posted February 21, 2020 This came up on the car radio -- I love this song, and it sounds so relevant today
liminal_luke Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) My partner was shocked to learn this wasn´t the original version.(Selena brings a certain Latin flair, but non-Spanish speakers aren´t missing out lyrically: this version lacks the philosophical depth of the Pretenders.) C T Posted February 21, 2020 Been listening regularly to this the past couple of months. Not sure why though. Seems like some sort of corona virus premonition.
silent thunder Posted February 21, 2020 this one is part of my personal soundtrack lately i often wake up with a song in mid-refrain as if it was playing in my sleep as i woke. this one plays in my mind a lot recently when not playing on my speakers. the beat is redonkulous and the lyrics, right on point for where I'm at. I don't know. You don't know. Nobody knows. but everybody talkin'...

silent thunder Posted February 27, 2020 Since childhood I have deeply disliked 'the birthday song'. It's cheesy in the extreme. When people sing it on my birthday, I leave the room until they've done, or endure it grudgingly. Then one year, I found this Viking Birthday Dirge! It makes me downright giddy when i hear it. In honor of my son, who turns 14 in about 30 minutes... 2

ralis Posted March 2, 2020 (edited) David Gilmour’s awesome playing I never grow tired of. I am certain copious amounts of acid was part of his musical evolution as well as the rest of Pink Floyd. Syd Barrett went over the deep end with too much acid. Which was referenced in “Comfortably Numb” Edited March 2, 2020 by ralis
flowing hands Posted March 2, 2020 (edited) Hmmm.... Youtube won't let me me put 'Church' live in Jordan, But chooses this one...odd... either that or TDBS site won't take it! Anyway my favourite song at the present is the live version, very atmospheric with sunset and drone footage. Go to youtube and look up Church by coldplay live in Jordan Edited March 2, 2020 by flowing hands file did not load
