Serpent Posted March 21, 2009 (edited) Hello I am new to taoism. Came here to know about this in detail. I am from INDIA, born and bought up as a Christian, but not a believer for the past several years. From the very little I heard about Daoism, makes me feel it is reasonable! Help me to learn more about it please! Thanks Edited March 21, 2009 by Serpent
Serpent Posted March 21, 2009 Thanks I am searching around. Thanks for the info here. Little bit confused. I was off the impression that Taoism is not 'promoting' any personal gods! But here Gods are present, so it seems. Let me search and read more deeply. Thanks

Thanks generally, does not christian upbringing, as with any formal religion, require continual sorting out of knowledge, belief, and faith? that internal dialog is sufficient for many. the excellent simplicity of 'fundamental' taoism is certainly to be found within those sets of constructs, however obscured it has become by the schisms of interpretation. i am confident that at this site you will find the clarity you seek. sometimes 'learning' goes hand in hand with 'unlearning'. and so, welcome.
