voidisyinyang Posted May 9, 2009 probably full-lotus as that is also "5 points or centers facing up" -- the two centers of the feet, the two centers of the hands and the head.
Spiritual_Aspirant Posted May 9, 2009 Is the 5 centres a standing or seated med or both? Â Â I don't know no technical details were given about the technique but it involves absorbing moon energy to energize the ida and pingala channels. It was just mentioned in passing when I read the book "9 Palaces Qi Gong". 9 Palaces is the sun qi gong of white cloud monastery. I do know that 9 Palaces qi gong is a standing and moving meditation. Bum Grasshopper Posted May 9, 2009 I thought that the full moon gives you both yang from the heavens (moon and sun) and yin from reflected light off the earth. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, there's a concept of yang within yin and yin within yang, but as far as I know the moon is predominantly yin..
